Several hundred of Berlin residents protested on Oktober 20 2010 against plans of the governement to prune the project resources for the program "Soziale Stadt" ("Social City"). Invitated by the workgroup of Berlin neighbourhood managements spoke polititians; groups presented themselves on stage, acitve citizens made arguments for the preservation of further sponsorship, and helium balloons with small cards - on them the names of projects at risk to be cut - took to the skies.
